| 私の作品は日常的な光景のスナップショットを黒白に還元し、さらにそのイメージを反転することによりもう一つの世界すなわち｢虚の世界｣を作り出したものです。現代における情報技術の急激な発達とともに我々の現実世界とのかかわりはますます希薄になってきています。我々の世界認識はインターネット映像とテレビ画面上における擬似体験の累積により支配され、以前は直接的な触れ合いによりなされていたコミュニケーションは画面と音声による非接触の代替手段により置き換えられています。我々の世界は徐々にしかし着実に虚の世界に移行しています。私の作品である無音の虚の世界においてその存在を空しくしてたたずむ人影は現代の世界において人間の置かれた状況を反映するものにほかなりません。 |
